Top Sandbox Games Performance in the Netherlands, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the top sandbox games in the Netherlands showcased interesting performance trends across the unified platform, combining data from both iOS and Android. According to Sensor Tower, these insights reveal the dynamics of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw a notable fluctuation in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $80K in late April, with a dip to around $45K in mid-May. Weekly downloads demonstrated a consistent upward trend, reaching a high of 22K by the end of June. Active users increased steadily, from 960K at the start of April to about 1.3M by the end of the quarter.

Minecraft: Dream it, Build it! by Mojang experienced a gradual decline in weekly revenue, starting at $20K in early April and tapering to around $13K by June's end. The downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 400 weekly, while active users decreased from 38K to approximately 28K over the quarter.

Growtopia, published by Ubisoft, showed a rise in weekly revenue, culminating at $1.5K by the end of June. Downloads, however, were minimal, staying mostly in single digits throughout. Meanwhile, active users remained steady, starting at 136 and closing at 140.

Melon: Sandbox from Payge Ltd maintained a moderate revenue stream, with figures ranging from $300 to $600. Downloads saw a peak of about 1.6K in late April, and active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 26K in late May before declining to 16K by quarter's end.

Lastly, Terraria by 505 Games showed a consistent pattern in revenue, staying between $200 and $350. Weekly downloads were modest, peaking at 65 in mid-April, while active users hovered around the 400 mark, ending at 441.
